HONEYMOON SUITES
Your honeymoon is a special time, and you want to have a relaxing and special time with your new spouse. No matter how busy many people are, they still make time for this tradition, even if it is only for a few days. No matter where you choose to go for your honeymoon, you are probably hoping to get one of the many honeymoon suites to stay in while you are there. Honeymoon suites offer a lot of extras to make your stay extra special, but remember you are going to pay more to get it.
There are places to specialize in honeymoons, and you will find that they have nothing but honeymoon suites in their establishment. While each suite is different, they are all geared towards making your honeymoon extra special. Don�t be fooled though, there are many places that just aren�t worth your time or your money. I went to one such place, and I have to say, it completely ruined my honeymoon, and I would give almost anything to erase the memory.
I don�t know how they did it, but the photographs of the rooms and honeymoon suites were gorgeous. They went into great detail spinning a yarn of unending romance and things you and your spouse can do that will create beautiful and lasting memories. Ha. The place was a nightmare, and I couldn�t even get my money back. I felt like I had walked onto a bad set for some seventies adult film, and no amount of scrubbing could stop me from feeling as dirty as I felt after leaving.
No matter where you decide to find your honeymoon suite, make sure you know what you are getting. A fireplace included in a room does not mean you are getting real wood. You may be getting a rubber log that is lit with a light bulb. That private pool in your room might be something you never forget, mostly because it is dirty and leaves a foul stench in your suite. Not all honeymoon suites are created equal, and you don�t want your memories to be as bad as mine.
Look up each resort or hotel you are considering by doing an online search. Don�t go to their websites. Make sure you look up reviews from real people who have stayed there. For the most part, people won�t write a bad review unless they really felt the need to do so. If you find nothing but bad review after bad review, you should look elsewhere for honeymoon suites and consider yourself lucky. Had I took the time to look online, I would have spared myself a two day stay in the worst of honeymoon suites. Now when I look online, I find the bad reviews. Apparently, the place has not changed. Don�t let this happen to you.
Plan your destination wedding.
If you�re planning on getting married, picking out a location for your wedding is one of the most important decisions you�ll make about your special day. The location for both the ceremony and the reception will dictate a lot of things, from the cost of catering to how many people you can invite to the wedding. Many couples are moving away from the standard wedding at a church followed by a reception at a banquet hall to something much more exotic. Destination weddings are becoming more and more popular, since they mean a vacation for everyone involved with the wedding, not just a honeymoon for the bride and groom.
The phrase �destination wedding� refers to a wedding which takes place away from either the bride or groom�s hometown, placing the ceremony and/or reception somewhere where everyone travels to get to the wedding. Usually destination weddings are smaller and more expensive than their local counterparts, though the added cost can be offset if the bride and groom honeymoon near the location of their wedding and ask for wedding guests to pay for their travel expenses on their own.
Destination weddings are most often held in picturesque and sometimes exotic locations, from Bali to Hawaii. Destination weddings don�t necessarily need to mean that everyone has to fly; a few hours drive away from home brings some people to gorgeous, exotic areas that may as well be on the other end of the country. One benefit of relatively close destination weddings over their international counterparts is that more local weddings don�t require guests to spend a great deal of money on travel costs, nor do they need to apply for passports or visas. If you�re planning on having a destination wedding, realize that many guests who would otherwise like to attend your wedding simply won�t be able to afford the added cost of traveling to the wedding location. Many couples who opt for destination weddings have a reception immediately after the ceremony, but then also host an additional reception back home for friends and family who couldn�t attend the ceremony itself. This strikes a nice balance between having your wedding where you want while still getting everyone involved. Of course, you could always fly everyone who wants to attend the wedding to the location, though this alternative is extremely expensive and is out of the means of most couples.
If you do have a destination wedding, be sure to not leave your guests high-and-dry before and after the ceremony. Have other activities planned for the weekend and offer suggestions for side activities for your guests, as they are essentially planning an entire vacation around your wedding.
Wedding Tents.
If you're in the process of planning a wedding, at some point or another you've probably considered having the wedding, or at least the reception, outdoors. Imagine, a first dance surrounded by all of your friends underneath a beautiful sunset or the stars as they come out at night. What could be more perfect? Of course, the more you considered this wonderful option, the more you've thought of the ways things can go wrong outdoors. What if it rains? Images of soaked dresses, ruined food, and grumpy guests flicker through your mind. What if it's so windy it blows away the tables, or even the guests? What if it gets cold and everyone wants to go home, or so hot that the groomsmen are peeling off their shirts and the bridesmaids want to get out of their dresses? Do we need to have an alternative rain site? If we don't use the rain site do we need to pay for it?
A well constructed wedding tent can save you from all of these worries and more, while giving you the outdoor wedding or reception of your dreams. Wedding tents come in all shapes and sizes, from small awnings perfect for covering the buffet tables and nothing more to huge structures which can cover an entire dance floor and dining room. What sort of tent you use depends on both the expected climate and time of year. A smaller tent in Phoenix works great for providing some shade for guests who get overheated in the sun, but you probably won't need a tent big enough to keep the rain off of everyone. If you're on the ocean you may want a tent with walls to keep the wind and sand out of your guests' meals, while you may still want to have the dance floor out on the beach. If you're planning a wedding in Seattle you'll want a tent large enough to house all of your guests comfortably, so even if it pours you can continue to dance into the night.
Wedding tents allow for the best of both worlds. You can still have your dream wedding outside, but you can have a simple plan in place in case the weather turns sour. They're also easy to put up and take down, and they can be decorated to fit any theme or color scheme to make your special day absolutely perfect.
Dream Wedding
What do you consider dream weddings? For me it basically consists of a few different things. However, it may not be what you think. First of all, I want my wedding to be in the right location. Secondly, I want to have the perfect honeymoon, and don't forget that exquisite wedding lingerie. That means the right getaway at the perfect time of year. And that's it. I don't want a massive crowd of people gathering around; I don't want the stress of a wedding planner; and I especially don't want anyone getting upset about the event. This is why the term "dream weddings" means simplicity to me. I'm talking about a destination package for just me and my bride. No stress and definitely no chaos. Far too many couples turn their wedding into something full of stress, anger, and disappointment. What a way to ruin a sacred event. Dream weddings are about laughter and happiness. So I suggest you keep that in mind when you're whining over a particular flower arrangement. Is that really how you want to recall your wedding day?
